alexbaja | Very nice collection Ronald has here, are all the astronaut dioramas made by you Pascal? |
apolloprojeckt | No, I have not built these dioramas. I did only the visors. He want have a more real reflection mirror effect. I think he will written soon also something about his work. |
model maker | Very nice! Outstanding! |
martin00sr | Very nice! The boots to the right of the Saturn V caught my attention - where did he get those? |
moonguyron | The boot replicas were purchased years ago through a now defunct web site. The site sold helmet replicas also. The boots were used on a Discovery documentary about Apollo 11. The dioramas represent each of the six landings. All include two astronauts except Apollo 17. This one is titled "The Last Footprint" and shows Cernan just stepping off the surface to join Schmitt in the LM. Being a pilot myself I didn't feel bad not including the only non-test pilot. I just finished a 1/48th X-15 that now hangs below the 1/48 B-52. |
moonguyron | I would be remiss not to mention that although I did do all the astronauts, all the other extras (Surveyor, Redstone, Atlas, Saturn etc.) were done by Nick Proach. A real talent and good friend. He can make whatever I have ever come up with. |
apolloprojeckt | Ronald Shinkle ask me of I want place this nice photos of his new project, the Famemaster 4D Saturn V rocket 1/100 model place in his new display diorama (pose it 'Kennedy Space Center' style). He make some accurate change, the LM and make the supports out of plastic.

Tykeanaut | Very nice. If you are married then you have a very understanding wife! |
the clocks running | How did you make the cool stands Pascal? |
apolloprojeckt | I did not make this diorama ,Ronald did this |
GACspaceguy | Fantastic display! |
moonguyron | A thank you to Pascal for going to the trouble of posting these pics. The supports are all made from Plastruct stock. I had a machine shop using a CNC router cut the upper piece that has the correct diameter curves. That's out of 1/8th inch sheet. I did the rest. Doesn't look like it but each large support has 11 seperate pieces. I am in the process of adding LED lights to the display. |
the clocks running | Beautiful work Ronald! |
Norman.King | A very nice display. |
alexbaja | Very nicely displayed, LED's will add character. |
